GAME Game 259/Day 329, Guinevere's arbitration game
FORM a pair of gloves, hold hands with two other people to view, 0/1 uses left
TAKEN offscreen, some time around Day 330
THE MEMORY
At the start of this memory, the party is fiddling around with a tram in the Quiet Lands, trying to figure out a way to get to the Wings of Light and reach Shirley to prevent something catastrophic from happening! He won't know exactly what that is yet. Jay fiddles around with the control panel a bit and manages to get tracks of light to appear. THE TRAM RUNS ON LIGHT. It's apparently the Trail Across the Heavens, a floating path spoken of in Oresoren legend. Jay and the otters ask to be allowed to test it out for a bit, a process which takes an entire night for some unknown reason.
Norma: What should we do while we're waiting?
Jay: Don't worry about us. Just get some rest. You've got stuff to take care
of, right? Writing your wills, giving away your belongings...
Norma: Hey, don't talk like that!
These kids. The party splits, and Jay continues to work on the tram with the otters, who tease him about his friends:
Jay: Ah, my ears!
Poppo: Jay, are you all right?
Jay: My ears just started burning all of a sudden. I bet that stupid bandit is talking about me.
Pippo: You seem to be in a good mood, Jay.
Jay: Really?
Quppo: Senel and the others are good people. I'm really glad we met them.
Jay: Yeah, I suppose it's not all that unpleasant being around them. Senel, Will, even that stupid bandit...
Quppo, Pippo, Poppo: Heh heh heh.
Jay: What are you laughing about?! {////}
Meanwhile, Norma is setting up a very insistent party for everyone at the fountain plaza, and we see that Grune later goes out and drags Jay into it. It's a happy, nostalgic memory, full of togetherness, despite the tension of surrounding events.
WHAT HE LEARNED
+ wow y'all suck
+ no um. This is confirmation that they did eventually get their powers back, as well as implying some stuff about how the Shirl confrontation went down that he could have already guessed, but will be puzzling over the details of.
+ He'll also notice that the tram (like the elevator before it) doesn't exactly look like Terises-era technology.
+ also some ORESOREN LEGEND stuff
EFFECTS
+ 20 curiosity about various elements of the Legacy's history
+ 5 tsun
+ 50 missing his party 8(
