GAME Game 247/Day 314, Madame White's bonds game
FORM a Chinese puzzle ball, shake to view, 2/3 uses left + 1 additional share of choice
TAKEN offscreen, around Day 316
THE MEMORY
This starts out with Will summoning the rest of the party to investigate the Waterways, because of concerns he has about the water and soil on the Legacy. He's unusually focused, completely missing a rare monster sighting and everything. There are also fart jokes.
Deeper in the Waterways, they observe the black mist, which also smells awful btw, and note that it appears to be rotting whatever it touches--the ground, the plant life. They fight black-mist Will, but the mist doesn't disappear, and they decide to retreat. All except Will, who, uh,
Senel: Will! We need to leave!
Will: Senel, why do you think promises exist?
Senel: What are you talking about? We need to go!
Will: Wouldn't you agree that a promise only means something if it's kept? Don't you think it means something to do everything you can to keep a promise? That's the only gift I have to give to the one who trusted me.
He walks right into the mist with his eres up and has conversations with Schwartz that I'm assuming the party isn't privy to. In the end, he banishes the mist after hearing Senel call to him about not leaving Harriet alone, and everyone returns to Werites Beacon, though not before:
Grune: Oh? And who might you be?
Efreet: Have you forgotten me, master? Your memory still hasn't returned...
Moses: Who's Grune talking to?
Jay: She appears to be talking to the air.
Chloe: We've been trying not to say that...
Efreet: I shall sleep for now, until your power returns.
Grune: Good night, Efreet.
Norma: Do you think we should have a doctor look at her?
Shirley: Hmm...
Yes. Anyway, Will goes to find Harriet up at Vista Point, and the rest of the party follows, is distant witness to Will and Harriet's reconciliation, and gets to appreciate this fucking gorgeous scene which I will link later. Of note: the flower blooms at a specific place and time, and crystallizes in light.
WHAT HE LEARNED
Some of Will's stuff--namely his rocky relationship with his daughter and the significance of the flowers to that and to his late wife. More Grune weirdness. More Senel speechifying. More party banter, and some stuff about the black mist and its effects on plant life.
EFFECTS
ACTUALLY since he's making the black mist = Darkness connection pretty hard, he'll want to know more about what it does to plants, if anything? +20 curiosity
