Yuki was fun to bother and had great reactions and didn't seem to always pick up on the fact that he was being trolled, which was also great, and Swift just kept bugging him because, gosh, endearingly flaily and literal-minded! And then Yuki proved to be pretty sensible about the whole Personae/complacency issue (in Swift's mind at least) which earned him some actual respect and now he is actually being witty? Which is different but no less awesome. Swift is pretty fond! Which is why he gave the warning about Mother's game--there were actually not many people he would have told about that because lol, dick, but he doesn't want to see Yuki crushed under some Persona's heel. Of the blue-five-dots crowd (there are . . . a few), Yuki is one of the closer ones to yellow, but it's a very easy relationship--Yuki, out of all his closeish CR, is basically the only one who has never flustered him--and he doesn't really think about it much.

Yuki showing wit is almost entirely due to Swift's excellent influence. He is generally aware of when he's being poked at (not that it keeps him from reacting anyways...) but he's figuring out that hey that is kind of fun.

Swift's dickishness is also really kind of REFRESHINGLY BLUNT, compared to most of Yuki's tiny collection of CR. He's scared of Kunzites, nervously puppying around Sapphire, regularly freaking out on Kazuki, and trolled by Carnelians that go for more drastic reactions. And Yuki has no idea how to deal with people being very forward or cautiously considerate of him so BY ALL MEANS. KEEP BEING A DICK, IT'S GREAT. He trusts that Swift will tell him whatever is actually relevant/important, and will answer his dumb questions otherwise. Likewise while he isn't going to tell Swift about any of his ongoing drama (he doesn't want to have to deal with that in this CR too, and really doubts Swift would want to/know how to deal with it either. YOU DON'T NEED TO KNOW MY ISSUES, I NEED A DISTRACTION AND YOU ARE IT), he did give Swift the warning about what his heart would probably be like because it's relevant/important!!

so Swift is a dick and YUKI KNOWS IT

but it's generally amusing

and good for Yuki

and somehow outside team + cast he is the closest thing Yuki has to a friend

NO HE DOES NOT! I maaaay have him swing by Kunzite some time if IC development allows but he in a weird state. So for now, untwinned. :|a

What is the deal with that anyway!! I know it's like, some kind of weird canon shenanigans and they're not actually related . . . ?

They are not related despite having the same blood type and the same FINGERPRINTS even. Least spoilery answer is that they're in a murdergame thing where there's two teams with a King, Bishop, Knight, and Pawn on each side. Everyone has the same face as their counterpart piece, and Yuki & Ruka are the Pawns :|b Haruki who was just accepted to Amethyst is Kazuki's counterpart.

this has caused DIFFICULTIES in Aather since. Ruka murdered Yuki's family, tried to kill Yuki, and wanted to usurp his identity as well :Db

NOT KNOWING ABOUT RUKA AT ALL IS A POINT IN SWIFT'S FAVOR because pawns are clingy, insecure, and also hate being mistaken for each other. my friend '-' my friend only.
